#Kidz4Collections Club
Join Puppet Planet’s Kidz 4 Collections Club for young explorers ages 5-12. The Club offers arts-centered workshops that give children the opportunity to harness their creativity and imagination as they learn about South Africa’s natural heritage.
Our facilitators – real scientists, artists, and museum educators – introduce cutting-edge science through a unique mixture of play-based activities focusing on the Museum’s world-class exhibits and collections. We use science storytelling to investigate Earth’s amazing 4.6 billion year history!
The programme uses an integrated learning approach to teach science through the visual (drawing and painting, clay modelling, paper crafts, mask and puppet making, heritage crafts) and performing arts (music, dance, theatre, puppetry).

The story takes place in Zanzibar, in the year 1873. Its heroine is a very independent and very musical mermaid with a host of friends under the sea and – by the end of the show – Performing on Reunion Island and some on land as well. When Zanzi is caught by pirates and has to fight for her freedom, her friends from land and sea unite to help her.
